The action and special effects are good quality until they reveal the aliens towards the end of the film, but the writing really drags the entire experience down. The characters are essentially undeveloped, there are major plot holes and points where the audience is expected to believe a couple developments in the story that are rather ridiculous. If you're just looking to have fun and not really pay attention to the story, you'll enjoy this one; otherwise, avoid it like the plague.

I don't normally take time out of my busy day to tell what I think of the movies I watch, but in this case I feel a duty to all movie goers out there: I beg you, please, don't waste your hard earned money. If it's that plentiful and you have nothing better to do with it, watch another movie twice, or...donate to a charity or something. This was HORRIBLE. Bad, predictable lines, terrible acting, lackluster special effects and less action than its previews showed. My wife and I were sitting there looking @ each other with disbelief - how could the producer and/or writer of this film go to sleep?!
Seriously, we also just watched other movies that were worth watching: Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol...both well worth the $. This is a big fat NO!!!

My son and I loved this one! It wasnt too violent or full of blood and guts. It wasnt too mushy, or silly. It's a 'must go' if you are paying matinee prices, and a 'go' for the full evening price. You decide for yourself, but it worked grrrrreat for us!

The movie should have gone straight to the SyFy channel Oriignal Saturday night movie. It was only 90 mins. but felt well over 2 hours. After awhile, you didn't care if the heroe's were killed off, they were pretty stupid. I felt sorry for the dog, though. The ending was too cliche and had no shock value. The only exciting part of the movie was the first 30 minutes. Wait for Showtime!

I can't say much about this movie but it was created CLEARLY for the 3D effects. The plot was horrible, the deaths that came from the main characters and the relationship at the end had no build up. It was completely pointless. There were soooo many inconsistencies that so many people in the theater were yelling out and upset. How does a cell phone work when there is NO power in the entire town/city? Everyone was upset when they beat it with a rock. They couldn't have went into more detail. HONESTLY... I Do not like writing reviews... but I HAD TO for this one. This should have been released straight to TNT.... not even DVD...
